Strings and Ceiling Wax

This is me, ranting on the internet about my life. And admiring pretty funny and relatable images that shape who I am. I'm a film student, a barista, a lover, a friend, and a dreamer. Don't laugh at my attempts at poetry, but admire my attempt at truth.

I am so proud of my family. This may have been one of thee most intense years of my life, and I feel like everything is starting to make a run for the better. I look at each member and am so incredibly proud of who we are. My sister saved a man’s life today by donating bone marrow, and is soon graduating as a registered nurse, so she will be saving many more. My other sister just got a full time job as her long-time dream to be an elementary school teacher, in the competitive district she grew up in. Another sister is finding herself through art, and I can see how she is very happy with her classes. Also she just illustrated a killer design for my dad’s independent company, and I can see so much potential for the success in her future. my mom recently got elected onto the national catholic youth conference board, which is a job she takes very passionately, and she has been the leading rock to support our family in this tough year. And myself, today I was blessed with a healthy recovery from my surgery. I got a lymph node biopsy, for a lump I found behind my collarbone, and after running many tests, the doctor said it was possibly lymphoma, which is a type of cancer. Today I got my results back that it was benign, and am thankfully cancer free! So I am free to continue on starting production on a screenplay that I wrote and will direct, that truly means a lot to me. Yes, there are still some cracks to still patch up with our family, but I am overwhelmed by the good karma circling back our way. We have one more mountain to climb on Monday, and all I ask is if each of you could send positive vibes over to my dad! He is interviewing for the perfect job and he deserves it. he’s been such a hard worker and a typical case of the recession. With a hard earned masters degree, He’s been doing manual labor jobs for the past two years, to support a family of six. And during the hours of the night, he’s been working on an invention which is almost complete, and soon to be selling. But this job that he is applying for in beautiful California is just what our family needs to boost our family’s stability, and bring my dad back to work in an industry that he loves. Also, if he gets the job, I can go back to school! and he can stop breaking his back on heavy lifting. Sorry for the Intensly happy post. But today is a good day. And Monday will hopefully be the cherry on top. :) thank you and goodnight.
